The kitten's head bobs in a yes. A soft mewl of distress soon follows. He's not happy either, Howard. The bigger cats don't like sharing their territory---it's taken them a bit to see that the new cat is one of their humans in a bind.

Maybe they'll come around soon, Cedric hopes. For now, he whines and rubs against Howard's ankle. He thinks he can solve this, it's just going to take a little time. And improvisation.

The beginnings of Cedric's work are already out. If Howard steps into the kitchen, he'll see that one of the cabinets has been nudged open. Emergency Rations has taken the opportunity to curl up inside the bowl that would have been a makeshift cauldron.
